Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has been taped on video claiming that Deputy President William Ruto is a thief whom he will campaign against in the 2022 elections.

According to the MP who was recently on the verge of losing his seat, DP Ruto is enriching himself and stealing while lying to Nandis and the Kalenjins at large that he is stealing on their behalf.

MP Keter further claims that the DP has called him to warn him against going against the grain and campaigning against him. The MP has claimed that DP Ruto is a notorious thief who should not be trusted with the country’s leadership. He further added that the powerful Deputy President is irredeemably corrupt.

The MP was video-taped at undisclosed rally on July 21 campaigning against DP Ruto. The event is believed to have been at a location in Rift Valley.

“the looters of this country loot on behalf of themselves, not even their families sometimes,” Keter said.

Alfred Keter’s election as MP was upheld by the Court of Appeal early this month after losing at the high court. He blamed his woes on his strong campaign against the Deputy President.

He was arrested in February alongside two other businessmen for allegedly forging treasury bills in a scheme the CBK said, was geared towards stealing more than Ksh 633 from the Central Bank.
