Traders in Kitale were left counting losses on Monday morning after a fire raged Kamukunji market on Sunday night.

This is not the first time that the market has been destroyed by fire as back in January more than 50 traders lost property estimated to be worth Ksh.50 million in the same market.

Investigations from the January fire revealed that one of the traders left a meal of githeri on a jiko which sparked a fire that spread to other shops.
