Detectives are investigating the murder of a four-year-old girl in Gesima village, Nyamira County.
The body of the girl was found in a deserted house on April 28 long after her murder. The police said they were yet to establish the motive of the murder.
The body had visible injuries on the head and face, while her clothes were torn. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
No arrest had been made by Wednesday but police said they were pursuing good leads into the murder. The girl stayed with her grandmother in the area.
Elsewhere in Marafa, Kilifi County, one Ruphus Muganga, 56 was found murdered outside his house.
His wife told police they were in the house when unknown people called him outside on Tuesday night.
She added she then heard him scream once. She went to check the source of the noise when they found the man lying in a pool of blood with the head dismembered from the torso.
The motive of the murder was not immediately known and the body was moved to the mortuary for autopsy.
Police said they were pursuing the killers of the man.
And a 64-year-old man was killed in a freak incident after being attacked by a ram in Kibichoi, Kiambu County.
Police said the incident happened on April 28 after the victim one Stephen Wagicio was fatally attacked.
Witnesses said the man was sitting on a chair at a home when the ram which was there attacked and floored him.
He sustained head injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending other procedures.
Police visited the scene and confirmed the same. The family of the deceased said they were discussing what to do with the animal following the fatal incident.
