A 15-year-old girl was found dead in a sugarcane plantation in Angata Barrakoi, Narok County.

The motive for the murder of the girl was not immediately known.

Police said the girl was a pupil at Enkoperia Primary School. Her body was in her uniform when the body was discovered on October 29, 2025.

The body lay in a pool of blood with a slit throat, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

Police said no arrest had been made in connection with the murder.

Elsewhere in Namanjala, Trans Nzoia County, a 57-year-old man was found dead after a suspected murder.

Police said Paul Muliro Karera was found dead in a house in a pool of blood.

Preliminary investigations established that the deceased had an argument with his son before entering his (son) house.

It is believed he was killed in the house. The assailant escaped the scene soon after the October 28 incident. The body was discovered the following day, police said adding it was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

In Kendu Bay, Homa Bay County’s Konyango sub county one Joseph Oyoo Ondiek, 62 was killed in an altercation with a neighbour over a grazing field.

The assailant slashed him in the right side of the head and he was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed hours later.

Police said the assailant escaped the scene after the October 28 incident. Efforts to trace him for grilling are ongoing, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary for autopsy.

Locals had also threatened to attack the assailant and his property prompting local authorities to intervene and seek for calm amid the ongoing probe.
