Last September, reports came out that GoDaddy, the world’s largest domain registrar, was looking for a buyer. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that three private equity firms are at advanced stages of pulling a deal on the firm. KKR & Co., Silver Lake Partners and Technology Crossover Ventures are named as some of the possible buyers with reports coming out the deal might be announced by next week.
The CEO and Founder Bob Parsons is controversial both in marketing the company and also his actions in a private capacity. He recently made headlines when reports surfaced in US blogs that he shot Elephants in Zimbabwe.
