Leo Woodall, born on September 14, 1996, in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, has quickly emerged as one of Britain’s most promising actors.
Raised in Hammersmith, West London, the 28-year-old comes from a family steeped in the performing arts.
His father, Andrew Woodall, is a seasoned actor known for roles in Solo: A Star Wars Story and Grantchester, while his mother, Jane Mary Ashton, studied drama but chose not to pursue an acting career.
Leo’s stepfather, Alexander Morton, is another familiar face, recognized for his work in Monarch of the Glen and Luther.

His feature film debut came in 2021 with Cherry, a crime drama directed by the Russo brothers, where he starred alongside Tom Holland.

That same year, he appeared in Vampire Academy on Peacock, but it was his breakout role in 2022 that truly put him on the map.
Playing Jack, a charismatic Essex lad with a dark twist, in the second season of HBO’s The White Lotus, Woodall earned widespread recognition.
To nail the character’s accent, he studied videos of TV personality Joey Essex, showcasing his dedication to his craft.
Since then, his career has soared. In 2023, he joined the Amazon Prime series Citadel, another Russo brothers project, and in 2024, he took on his first leading role as Dexter Mayhew in Netflix’s adaptation of One Day.
