A 22-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a fight in High Rise area, Nairobi.

The body of Sydney Ayondi was found in a pool of blood minutes after he had been stabbed by an assailant who police said was his friend.

The two fought over unknown reasons before Ayondi was stabbed in the chest. The assailant escaped the scene soon after the December 23, 2025 incident.

Police were called and moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

The motive of the incident was not immediately established, police said.

Elsewhere in Maranda, Bondo, Siaya County, one Cynthia Anyango, 21 was found murdered outside their home.

The body of the woman was found lying in a pool of blood after the murder on Tuesday, police said.

The motive of the incident was not known.

Police said the woman was stabbed by her boyfriend in an altercation.

The assailant escaped the scene. Locals later torched a house belonging to the suspect.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy as the police hunt for the suspect.

And in Cheptulu, Vihiga County, a group of night guards was arrested after they fatally beat up a man who ventured into a gold mining site. The site is privately owned and was under guard when a group tried to venture there on Monday night, police said.

The guards on duty responded and caught up with one of them before they beat him to death.

He was pronounced dead in hospital where he had been rushed to, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

In Chepkanga, Uasin Gishu County, two suspects were Tuesday lynched by a group of boda boda riders in an incident.

Police said the incident happened along Eldoret-Iten road after a chase. The two were riding on a motorcycle when they were confronted and stoned to death.

The boda boda riders stole their motorcycle and escaped from the scene, police said. The bodies were moved to the mortuary pending an identification and autopsy.

Police said they are investigating the incident.

Police discourage mob lynching and term it criminal. Most of such incidents remain unsolved and under investigations.

Statistics show some of the victims are framed up and killed for a purpose.
