    Man kills girlfriend over missing mobile phone in Naivasha

    A man hit and killed his girlfriend during an argument over his mobile phone in Viwandani area, Naivasha, Nakuru County.

    The woman was identified as Susan Wanjiru Kaluku, 43. She had injuries on her face when police arrived at the scene where her body lay.

    The man accused of the murder was arrested and told police they argued with the woman before it went physical and fatal. This was during an argument over his missing mobile phone on December 26, 2025.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. The suspect will face murder charges, police said.

    And in Subukia, Nakuru County, one Abel Oweba, 43 was found dead in a suspected murder incident.

    The victim had on Boxing Day arrived home and returned to his house where he lived alone. His neighbours said they heard him struggling and screaming before he was found collapsed and bleeding at the balcony.

    The body had no visible injuries and he had vomited food and blood.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

    And a boda boda operator was killed in what locals linked to fight over control of the business in Laare, Igembe, Meru County.

    The victim was identified as Lewis Mutharimi and was killed on Christmas Day. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.

    In Gilgil, Nakuru County, a man was found murdered and his body dumped on the roadside.

    The body of the man was found on Christmas Day long after his murder. It was found in Sogea area and had deep cuts on the neck and blood was oozing from the wounds.

    The motive of the murder was not known and the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and identification.

    And a three-year-old boy died after being hit in the head by a stick in Emurua Dikirr, Narok County.

    The incident happened as the parents of the boy fought in their home in Sabnosiek village, police said.

    The boy succumbed to head injuries in hospital. The police said they are investigating the incident.

    Elsewhere, a13-year-old boy drowned in a river as he and his colleagues celebrated Christmas Day in Tunyai area, Tharaka Nithi County.

    The victim was in the company of other boys and had ventured into Thingithu river when the incident happened, police said.

    Police were informed of the incident and removed the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
