    Nakumatt Shuts Down NextGen Store Indefinitely (Photos)

    NakumattNakumatt Supermarkets has closed its Next Gen mall outlet until further notice.

    In a notice doing rounds on the interwebs, the outlet remained closed from Saturday 9 September.

    ”Nakumatt NextGen will be closed from September 9 until further notice,” the notice read in part.

    The store was only opened 9 months ago and was meant to attract the many customers using the ever busy Mombasa road and the South B and South C estates.

    The retailer has been facing cash flow problems over the past few months. It has seen its employees go on strike and a few weeks was taken to court over delayed salaries.

    Nakumatt has shut down its Uganda stores: Acacia, Village and Victoria malls.
