A Nakuru County official is in trouble after police discovered six of sixty stolen seats from State House Nakuru at his hotel located along Kenyatta Avenue.
The seats, an officer said, went missing between October and November 2017.
Officers led a raid at the hotel and thereafter paid the county official a visit at his home.
Nakuru OCPD, Samuel Obara told the Standard that the they had launched investigations into the matter which remains a mystery.
”We raided the hotel after getting information that some of the missing chairs were at the hotel,” Mr Obara said.

Refusing to divulge more information, the OCPD said the matter was ‘sensitive’ as it would implicate security officers guarding the place.
”This issue is sensitive and should be handled with care, that is why police headquarters will brief you,” he continued.
The hotel, the daily reports was closed right after the raid.
