Peter Phillips, the eldest grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II, has married Harriet Sperling in a private ceremony attended by senior members of the British royal family.
The couple exchanged vows on Saturday, June 6, at All Saints Church in Kemble, a picturesque village in Gloucestershire’s Cotswold district.
Among those present were King Charles III and Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate, Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, as well as Peter’s mother, Princess Anne, and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. Peter’s sister, Zara Tindall, and her husband, Mike Tindall, also attended the ceremony.
The wedding marked a significant milestone for the royal family, with Peter becoming the first of Queen Elizabeth II’s eight grandchildren to remarry.
The marriage is the second for both Peter and Harriet.
Peter, 48, was previously married to Autumn Kelly from 2008 until their divorce was finalized in 2021. The former couple share two daughters, Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14.
Harriet, a nurse, was previously married to fitness instructor Antonio St. John Sperling. They share a 13-year-old daughter, Georgina.
The three girls were seen together earlier this year when they joined members of the royal family at the traditional Easter church service.
While Peter is the first of his generation to remarry, he follows a path taken by several senior royals.
His mother, Princess Anne, divorced her first husband, Mark Phillips, in 1992 before marrying Sir Timothy Laurence later that same year in a small ceremony in Scotland.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla also both remarried after the breakdown of their first marriages. Charles married the late Princess Diana in 1981 before their divorce in 1996, while Camilla had previously been married to Andrew Parker Bowles.

Charles and Camilla eventually married in 2005 in a civil ceremony followed by a Service of Prayer and Dedication at St George’s Chapel.
Speculation about Peter and Harriet’s relationship first emerged in May 2024 when they attended the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials together.
Over the following months, Harriet increasingly appeared alongside Peter at public events, including Royal Ascot, where she was seen mingling with members of the royal family.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2025, with details of their wedding plans emerging earlier this year.
