    Police Release Buses Ferrying NASA Supporters, Free To Make Their Way To Nairobi

    Three buses ferrying NASA supporters from Mombasa to Nairobi have been released after they were intercepted at Voi at around 3am.

    Voi OCPD, Joshua Chesire said that the three vehicles were impounded over ‘traffic offenses’ but have since been allowed to make their way to Nairobi.

    ”In the buses there were 82 passengers who also had not adhere to traffic rules. Most of them are youth of whom 10 did not have ID cards. Among them are four women,” Mr Chesire said.

    But the bus drivers are said to have headed back to Mombasa.

    In Nairobi, opposition supporters are making their way into the cordoned off Uhuru Park.

    There is heightened police presence as supporters await the arrival of their leaders, Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka who are expected to arrive at 10am.
