Detectives are investigating an incident in which an employee with the Quickmart Supermarket was found dead in his house in Mwiki area, Nairobi.
Elijah Mungai Ndichu had not reported to work since February 1 until February 3 when his body was found.
This came after some of his colleagues who were concerned about his failure to report to work went to check on him at his house.
The workers told police they found his door locked from inside, which forced them to break in.
It was then that they found his body lying on the floor with blood oozing from body openings.
There was a rope tied around his neck. Police say they are investigating the incident and no arrest has been made so far.
This will tell among others how he died, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
Elsewhere in Lungalunga, Kwale County, a body of a woman was found under a culvert on a roadside in Bondeni area.
The body was covered by a sack and was later identified as that of Rachael Pascal Bahati, 43 a resident of Mwangulu B village.
The deceased was said to have been having a land dispute with two people had sold her a piece of land and wanted it back.
The body had multiple injuries and the head was skinned where the eyes and ears were removed.
The body was moved to Msambweni County Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
In Lugari, Kakamega County, a decomposed body of a man was found in Itumbu village.
Police who visited the scene found the decomposing body of an unknown male adult lying on a farm with both the feet and arms missing.
The face had partly decomposed making it hard to be identified by the locals.
The body was moved to Village of Hope mortuary awaiting postmortem and identification.
Police said they are investigating murder in the incident. The motive of the murder is yet to be established.
