Tusker FC coach Robert Matano has been named as the Kenyan Premier League coach of the month for September – October 2018.

Matano, who guided the Brewers to five wins during the period beat Kariobangi Sharks’ William Muluya to the coveted gong.

He expressed delight at the recognition, while urging his players to keep working hard.

“I did not know that I would get this award but it makes me very happy. It may have delayed but it sure is a timely booster as we go into the new season.”

“I’m grateful to my players who worked hard and I want to urge them to work harder and pick the players’ award as the season begins,” the veteran gaffer, popularly known as the lion told Capital Sports.
