Safaricom’s Lipa na M-Pesa services are unavailable after M-Pesa underwent a systems upgrade over the weekend.
The systems upgrade lasted for approximately 15 hours and will provide the customers and partners with more features and capabilities in the future, said Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.
The telecommunications company made the announcement on their social media platforms after customers could not access the ‘Lipa na Mpesa’ service.
Dear Customer, our Lipa Na M-PESA service is unavailable. We are working to resolve this immediately and apologize for the inconvenience.

Also experiencing difficulties is the telco’s Mpesa banking, Mshwari and the Paybill services.
