Safety was not left to chance as sniffer dogs were part of the security detail that was used when Deputy president William Ruto visited the Vihiga member of parliament Yusuf Chanzu.They were seen patrolling the homestead before and during the visit with one dog even escorting the deputy president to the washroom.
The dogs were brought to boost security in the purported NASA stronghold and it is standard procedure to ensure that the security of the second in command is secure.

William Ruto was joined by some of the luhya leaders who defected to the jubilee party include Paul Otuoma,Alfred Khaghati,Moses Akaranga and the host Yusuf Chanzu.
