    State Agencies, Universities Announce 50 Job Vacancies

    Several state agencies and universities have announced a total of 50 job vacancies, offering opportunities in various fields.

    The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has opened applications for nine positions. In a notice published in MyGov on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, ORPP stated that it is looking for competent, self-driven individuals to help fulfill its mandate of regulating political parties and strengthening Kenya’s democratic system.

    “The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) is seeking competent, capable, ambitious, self-motivated and dynamic individuals that demonstrate the appropriate expertise and experience to contribute to the implementation of our mandate and the achievement of our vision to be a model regulator of Political Parties for a credible democratic multiparty system,” the advertisement reads.

    The office is seeking to hire one person for each of the following roles: Registration Officer, Corporate Communication Officer, Supply Chain Management Assistant, Driver, and Office Assistant. Additionally, it plans to recruit two Compliance Officers and two Clerical Officers.

    Detailed job descriptions and application guidelines can be found on the ORPP website at https://orpp.or.ke/careers/. Applications must be submitted by March 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

    Kibabii University has also advertised four positions, including a Lecturer in Biomedical Science, a Junior Research Fellow in Kiswahili, and a Senior Accountant. Applicants can find more details on the university’s website at https://kibu.ac.ke/careers/. The deadline for applications is March 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

    The Kenya Leather Development Council (KLDC) is seeking to fill nine positions, including Director of Technical Services, Manager of Capacity Building, Manager of Common Manufacturing Facilities, Manager of Quality Assurance & Compliance, Principal ICT Officer, System Developer, Internal Auditor, Office Assistant, and two Leather Technicians. Suitably qualified candidates are encouraged to apply via https://leathercouncil.go.ke/careers/ before March 25, 2025.

    Multimedia University has re-advertised three positions: Senior Assistant Librarian (Cataloguing, ICT & Digital Services), Technologist (Instrumentation and Control) in the Department of Physics, and Technologist (Renewable Energy and Technology) in the Department of Physics. More information is available on the university’s website at http://www.mmu.ac.ke. The deadline for applications is March 24, 2025. The university noted that these positions come with competitive remuneration packages, including salaries, medical cover, and various allowances.

    Meanwhile, the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) has announced 25 job vacancies, 13 of which are re-advertisements. The state-owned firm is looking to recruit professionals for various roles, including Senior Manager for Transmission System Planning, Senior Manager for Supply Chain Management, Manager for Real-Time Operations, and Manager for Electrical Design. Other positions include Senior Engineer for Power Dispatch, Senior Legal Officers for Commercial Compliance and Litigation, and Graduate Engineers in Electrical Design, Civil & Structural Design, and SCADA Telecommunication.

    KETRACO has provided detailed job descriptions and application procedures on its website, www.ketraco.co.ke. The company reaffirmed its commitment to fair employment practices, stating that it adheres to constitutional principles of equal opportunity, fair competition, and inclusivity. Interested applicants must submit their applications by March 17, 2025.
