    Notorious Suspect In Car Theft Syndicate Arrested In Umoja, Three Vehicles Seized

    Detectives from the Flying Squad Unit have arrested a suspect behind vehicle theft in Nairobi.

    The man identified as Duncan Ochieng Ouso was arrested in one of the apartments in Umoja estate.

    According to the DCI, Duncan Ochieng Ouso, is notorious for receiving stolen vehicles and repainting them.

    During the operation, detectives confiscated two motor vehicles – a Toyota Premio and a Toyota Wish.

    “#FlyingSquad Detectives, acting on information, today arrested one male-Mr.Duncan Ochieng Ouso & confiscated Two motor vehicles; a Toyota Premio & a Toyota Wish. The suspect-notorious for receiving stolen motor vehicles & repainting them-was arrested at an apartment within Umoja,” DCI said in a tweet.

    In a similar operation, another vehicle with a foreign number plates was confiscated.

    The DCI reports that the driver of the vehicle refused to stop after detectives became suspicious of the car.

    A chase ensued and the driver abandoned the vehicle near Gilgil weigh-bridge.

    Police have launched investigations into the incident.
