Elsewhere in Mukaa, Makueni, a body of a man was found lying on the roadside after suspected murder.

Police said they were called to the scene and found the body of an unidentified man with visible injuries on the left eye.

There was blood oozing from the right ear. Preliminary investigation showed that the deceased was murdered elsewhere and the body dumped at the scene.

The body was moved to Kilungu Sub-County Hospital mortuary, awaiting postmortem and identification. Police said they are investigating murder in the incident.

Elsewhere in Kimilili, Bungoma County, one Harrison Wafula Wamukota, 65 died after being assaulted by a person known to him.

The victim was rushed to Kimilili Sub-County Hospital where he succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. The body was moved to the mortuary, awaiting postmortem.

The suspect was arrested pending arraignment. Police said they recovered two dry pieces of wood used as a murder weapon.
