The Office of the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, has addressed reports of an intended visit by a group of young people to his residence in Ichaweri, Gatundu.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Office acknowledged the enthusiasm and patriotism of Kenya’s youth, emphasizing the former Head of State’s respect for young people and their role in shaping the country’s future.

“President Kenyatta deeply respects the energy, ideas, and patriotism of Kenya’s youth. He firmly believes that dialogue between generations is essential for shaping the future of our nation and welcomes opportunities for constructive engagement,” the statement read.

However, the Office clarified that the former President is currently not in a position to host the said group at his Ichaweri home.

The Office urged organizers of such initiatives to formally communicate in advance to allow for proper planning and coordination of structured engagements.

“We encourage organizers of such initiatives to formally communicate with the Office in advance so that arrangements can be made for structured, peaceful, and meaningful dialogue,” the statement added.

It further reiterated that the former President remains open to meeting and exchanging views in a dignified manner that fosters unity and mutual respect.

The statement concluded with a call for national cohesion, urging Kenyans to prioritize dialogue over disruption and engagement over division.

The communication was signed by Kanze Dena Mararo, Secretary, Communication in the Office of the 4th President.
