    Public Works PS Maryam Elmaawy Rescued by KDF After Kidnap by Al-Shabaab

    The Principal Secretary for Public Works Maryam Elmaawy has been rescued by KDF after getting kidnapped by the Al-Shabaab in LAMU.

    The PS who was inspecting the LAPSSET projects was heading to Witu to visit families affected by the ongoing Boni forest operation against Al-Shabaab when his convoy was attacked.

    The PS suffered minor injuries in the operation but one occupant was burnt in the operation. It is not clear if the burnt body was of the driver or the bodyguard.
