The French Embassy in Kenya is reported to have evacuated nine of its nationals who tested positive for Covid-19 in Nairobi, a move that has sparked dispute between the embassy and Kenyan government. The evacuation started weeks ago with a 56-year-old man who was flown out of the country on March 9 after being diagnosed with Covid-19 in Kwale. The death of celebrated author and journalist Ken Walibora has taken a new twist, after Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor found stab wounds on the body of the scribe. Traders in Makindu are now accusing the County Government of Makueni of mistreating them, after threatening to demolish their informal kiosks if they are not closed. TikTok will no longer allow private messaging for users under the age of 16 years. This is the first time a social media platform has blocked private messaging.
