A 26-year old man was found dead with a bullet wound in Wamba area, Samburu County. Police said Ibrahim Kimengech was transporting sandalwood when he was shot and killed on February 5 morning. His body was found lying on the roadside in Oromodei area. Police said the deceased was attacked by unknown assailants who shot him from the back. A Kenya Defence Forces soldier was on Thursday stabbed and killed in a confrontation with his assailants outside a hospital in Likoni, Mombasa County. The soldier was identified as Dennis Wesonga of the Kenya Navy, Mtongwe. Police and witnesses said the deceased was in the company of friends at a private hospital when they suddenly started to quarrel. Police are investigating an incident in which a murder suspect was found dead in a cell at Chogoria police station, Tharaka Nithi County. The suspect was also being held at the station over claims of child kidnapping. James Muthaura, 30 was found dead on Thursday morning, police said.
