A major operation was launched after a gang ambushed and killed a government driver before hijacking and fleeing with his official car in Kamor area, Mandera County. The government plans to pay village elders up to Sh7,000 a month as allowance to help them operate for the role they play in governance and community development. Among others, there is a proposed policy framework that recommends a phased implementation of a monthly allowance of up to Sh7,000, depending on Kenya’s economic conditions, for village elders across the country. Technology pioneer Susan Wojcicki, 56, died Friday in California after a two-year battle with lung cancer, her family announced. Gaza’s Hamas-run civil defence agency said Saturday an Israeli air strike on a school building sheltering displaced Palestinians in Gaza City killed dozens of people.  A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said al-Taba’een school “served as an active Hamas and Islamic Jihad military facility” with approximately 20 “militants” operating there. Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Anthony Omerikwa said recent media reports show alcohol enemas has allegedly been adopted by Kenyan youths.
