American rappers Snoop Dogg and Master P are suing supermarket giant Walmart and a food manufacturing company for sabotaging their cereal brand. A lawsuit filed on Tuesday accuses Walmart and Post Consumer Brands of hiding boxes of Snoop Cereal and incorrectly saying it was out of stock. Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale met the United States Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin on Wednesday following the signing of a framework on defence cooperation during Austin’s visit to Kenya in September last year. Three Ethiopians who are victims of human smuggling died after their car was involved in an accident in Meru. Police said eight other victims were seriously injured and rushed to hospitals in Meru on Wednesday. According to police, the smugglers were ferrying ten Ethiopians and Eritreans when their vehicle collided with another one head-on. Police said the vehicle with the foreigners was headed towards Nkubu town. The area is among areas flagged as smuggling routes. Details have emerged about how a man awaiting extradition on a Massachusetts warrant alleging he killed his girlfriend and left her body in a car at the Boston airport escaped from police custody. Detectives are looking for a gang that attacked and robbed a British national in Ololua Estate, Lang’ata. The woman identified as Lydah Hadiday was getting into her compound Wednesday evening in her car when four men who had covered their faces struck. A passenger died on board a train as it raced from Mombasa to Nairobi. Officials said Shabaaz Abdul Khambiye fell sick while on board Madaraka Express Train on Wednesday afternoon. The train had reached between Mtito Andei and Makindu area when he fell sick. The train officials stopped at Ikoyo Passing Station to enable him be taken to hospital. Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and 16 others were Wednesday acquitted in a case relating to misappropriation of funds amounting to Sh357 million belonging to the Nairobi County Government. Milimani Magistrate Eunice Nyutu acquitted the group saying no evidence has been adduced by the prosecution to show they conspired to embezzlement the said funds. Police are investigating a known land grabbing gang operating in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area for action.  This is after they realized increased schemes of land grabbing and defrauding innocent and powerless land owners in areas of Eastleigh and Pangani areas of Nairobi. The death toll in Kirinyaga illicit brew incident rose to 13 after more victims succumbed in Kangai and Kandongu villages.
