At least three police officers were injured following an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack in Fafi Sub-County, Garissa County, on Monday morning. The incident occurred at around 6:33am on February 23, 2026, at Harbole area, police said. The officers from General Service Unit (GSU) Fafi Operations Camp reported that the officers were on their way to search for water aboard a water bowse when they encountered an underground IED. A 29-year-old man killed his wife and daughter before he died by suicide in a village in Madogo, Tana River County.
