Two people died on Sunday morning after a head-on collision involving two lorries in Gilgil along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway. According to reports, drivers of the two lorries died on the spot. Two other people, suspected to be turnboys, sustained serious injuries during the incident. The Kenya Railways has suspended a directive it had issued last week on Wednesday banning foodstuffs and beverages in the Standard Gauge Railway better known as SGR. Several people are feared trapped after a building under construction collapsed on Thursday in Malaba Sub-county, Kakamega County. The building is said to have caved in at around 9.00 am.
