Five police officers are set to be arraigned in court on Wednesday, September 8, over the death of a man at Changamwe Police Station, Mombasa County. Caleb Ospino Otieno died hours after he was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of illegal alcohol – Changáa at Mikindani on September 18, 2018. A 33-year-old woman linked to a series of fraudulent sales of hired motor vehicles has been arrested in Kiambu. A 24-year-old man has succumbed to stab wounds after an attempt to confront his lover over infidelity in Bomet. Weldon Terer, who worked as a boda boda mechanic at Ndanai trading center in Bomet County, is said to have busted his 20-year-old lover with another man in their rented house over the weekend. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested four people including three suspects linked to money laundering crimes in Nairobi. The money-laundering suspects, Abdulaziz Ibrahim Hassan aged 54, Dorcas Ntoya, 34, and Arum Bob Busimbi, 26, were arrested on Thursday evening at an apartment in Kileleshwa in an operation by DCI’s Transnational Organized Crime detectives. Two police officers have been arrested following the disappearance of exhibits relating to a narcotics case that were held at Garissa Police station. The 18 rolls of bhang had been seized from a suspected drug dealer on Tuesday, August 31. Garissa Police Station OCS identified Police Constables Akuku David Robert Birundu as the main suspects behind the mysterious disappearance of the exhibits on Wednesday. Kenya on Thursday received a boost in its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic after receiving 358,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from the Canadian government. The consignment donated through the COVAX facility arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Aiport (JKIA) on Thursday morning.
