The High Court in Nairobi has given the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti 30 days to return businessman Jimmy Wanjigi’s firearms as ordered in 2019. Justice Anthony Mrima said on Thursday that the DCI has until March 25 to comply with the orders. 14 people were Thursday arrested after police discovered over one acre farm of cannabis (bhang) plantation at Kedong Ranch in Naivasha. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the individuals were found weeding the crop by a  multi-agency team comprising of Anti Narcotics detectives, Administration Police (AP) Officers attached at Kedong field training Camp and OCPD Naivasha. Baringo has become the first County Assembly to shoot down the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Constitutional (Amendment) Bill, 2020, after a chaotic session. A 52-year-old man has been arrested for murder after a Class 8 pupil he assaulted for having an affair with his daughter passed on at a Vihiga Hospital. 80 unionisable workers of struggling retailer, Tuskys, have been dealt a huge blow after the Employment and Labour Relations Court dismissed a case challenging planned layoffs. The case had been filed by the Kenya Union of Commercial, Food and Allied Workers (KUCFAW), who termed the layoffs illegal and unprocedural. Former Nairobi County Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has moved to the High Court seeking an order for his immediate release from police custody.
