Connor Brown is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Born on January 14, 1994, in Etobicoke, Ontario, Brown is known for his speed, work ethic, two-way play, and reliability as a depth forward who can contribute offensively.

He was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the sixth round, 156th overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Career

Brown developed through the Toronto minor hockey system before joining the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

In his final junior season in 2013-14, he had a breakout year, leading the OHL in scoring with 128 points and earning multiple league honors.

He turned professional with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL), where he continued to produce and earned All-Star and All-Rookie recognition.

He made his NHL debut with the Maple Leafs and became a full-time player during the 2016-17 season.

After time with Toronto, he signed with the Ottawa Senators as a free agent, enjoying strong offensive seasons there.

Brown later played with the Washington Capitals and Edmonton Oilers before signing with the New Jersey Devils.

Throughout his NHL career, spanning over 600 games, he has been valued for his consistency, leadership, and ability to contribute in all zones, including strong penalty-killing duties.

Accolades

Brown’s junior accolades include the OHL’s Red Tilson Trophy as Most Outstanding Player, the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy as leading scorer, the Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy as top right winger, and selection to the OHL First All-Star Team in 2014.

He also received the CHL Top Scorer Award that year.

In the AHL, he was named to the All-Rookie Team and participated in the AHL All-Star Game.

Internationally, he helped Canada win gold at the 2021 IIHF World Championship, where he led the tournament in assists and points.
