Dennis Oliech has been ruled out for the remainder of the current Kenyan Premier League season with a fractured left arm.
The Gor Mahia striker sustained the injury during their Sunday’s league outing against Western Stima which ended in a barren draw at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu.
Oliech had to be rushed to the hospital in the second half after an aerial duel with a Stima player left him writhing in pain on the flow with a fractured arm.
The injury which is estimated to take bout six weeks to heal is a big blow to the former Harambee Stars skipper, who has been working hard to regain his form.
Oliech has made it known that he would wish to return to the national team and possibly make the list of those heading to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in June/July in Egypt.
The injury thus complicates matters for his quest to wear the national colors again at the 2019 AFCON.
