    Siblings

Elisha has two younger siblings, a sister named Lee-Ann Cuthbert and a brother named Jonathan Cuthbert.

Growing up in Greenfield Park, Quebec, after the family moved from Calgary, the Cuthbert siblings shared a close bond, fostered by a lively household where hockey was a central passion.

Both Jonathan and their mother, Patricia, are active hockey players in Canada, a sport that Elisha also embraces as a fan.

    Career

Cuthbert’s career began at the age of nine when she started modeling children’s clothing and footwear, eventually becoming a foot model.

Her first television appearance came in 1996 as an extra on the Canadian horror anthology series Are You Afraid of the Dark?, which later led to a recurring role.

She also co-hosted Popular Mechanics for Kids in Montreal, a role that caught the attention of then-First Lady Hillary Clinton, who invited her to the White House.

Her career took a significant leap in 2001 when she moved to Los Angeles at 17 and landed the role of Kim Bauer in 24, a performance that earned her two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.

This role propelled her into Hollywood, leading to parts in films like Old School (2003), Love Actually (2003), and her breakout lead role as Danielle in the 2004 teen comedy The Girl Next Door, which earned her nominations for MTV Movie Awards.

She continued to diversify her portfolio with roles in House of Wax (2005), where she was praised for her performance despite the film’s mixed reviews, and The Quiet (2005), which she also co-produced.

From 2011 to 2013, she starred as Alex Kerkovich in the ABC sitcom Happy Endings, and later played Abby Phillips in the Netflix series The Ranch from 2016 to 2020.
