A 38-year-old farm worker was found dead along a road near Malinda Farm in Lukenya-Manzooni, Machakos County, in a suspected murder incident.
Police said the body of Musyoka Muteti was discovered on Wednesday morning, September 30, after farm workers alerted their manager.
Police officers visited the scene and found Muteti’s body lying on its back alongside his personal belongings.
His mobile phone, a key and a leather wallet containing his identification card were found near the body.
Preliminary investigations indicated that Muteti had been attacked by unknown assailants using crude weapons and stones, sustaining serious injuries to the head.
Crime scene investigators processed and documented the scene as detectives began investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify those responsible.
The body was later moved to the Machakos Level 5 Hospital mortuary, where it is being preserved pending an autopsy.
Meanwhile, a man was stabbed to death following a dispute in Gilgil, Nakuru County, on Wednesday morning.
Police said Alfaso Lengewa was involved in a dispute with another man at Back Street at about 9:45am on September 30 when he was allegedly stabbed with a knife.
Lengewa was rushed by members of the public to Gilgil Sub-County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police officers visited the scene and later proceeded to the hospital, where they found Bunge receiving treatment after he had allegedly been attacked by members of the public.
The said assailant was treated and discharged in fair condition before being detained at Gilgil Police Station pending arraignment in court.
Crime scene investigators processed and documented the scene as detectives continued investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killing.
And a 32-year-old man was stabbed to death in Bamba, Ganze Sub-County, Kilifi County, on Tuesday night.
Police said Ibrahim Mohamed was attacked on September 29 and sustained a deep stab wound to the left side of his stomach and another wound on his right leg.
He was rushed to Bamba Sub-County Hospital after the incident but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect, had been arrested by members of the public in the Ndigiria area. Police later took him into custody and recovered a knife believed to have been used in the attack.
The weapon was preserved as an exhibit as investigations into the killing continued.
Mohamed’s body was moved to the Kilifi Referral Hospital mortuary, where it is being preserved pending an autopsy.
