A football fan collapsed and died as he watched a match at a field in Nairobi’s Mwiki area.
Police said the incident happened on Saturday May 17 evening at Mwiki Maisha Grounds.
Locals said the man was only known as Jeff and was a barber in the area.
He had come to watch a football match when he collapsed and died.
The cause of the death is yet to be established.
Police who visited the scene said blood was oozing from his nose.
The deceased lived alone in the area. The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy, police said.
The incident forced the match to be suspended. Elsewhere in Rumuruti, Laikipia County, two people were separately shot and seriously injured.
The assailant was armed with an AK47 rifle when he targeted the victims in the Jennings area within Kisiriri village.
In the first incident, the assailant shot and injured a 32-year-old man in the hand, seriously injuring him.
The victim said he saw the gunman cock and aim at him before he opened fire and hit his left-hand on Saturday night.
Police visited the scene and recovered a live ammunition with two spent cartridges of 7.62 mm.
However, the motive behind the incident is not known. In the same area, a 50-year-old man was shot and injured in an attack.
He told police he was in his house when two people pushed the door and entered, cocked the rifle and shot him on the right part of his forehead causing a wound near his eye.
The victim collapsed and the assailants escaped as he was being rushed to hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.
Police said the motive behind the incident was not established.
The shootings have caused tension in the area amid calls for action to get those behind the same.
The area is among those under operation due to banditry attacks by gunmen operating there.
