Josh Jacobs has been arrested in Wisconsin following an alleged domestic violence incident, according to authorities.

The 28-year-old Green Bay Packers running back is facing felony charges of strangulation and suffocation, alongside multiple misdemeanor counts including battery, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, and intimidation of a victim, according to Brown County Jail records cited Tuesday. He is currently being held without bond.

The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department confirmed it was called to a disturbance complaint involving Jacobs at 8:37 a.m. local time on Saturday. In a statement shared by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and did not provide further details.

Jacobs’ legal team has strongly denied the accusations, calling for restraint as the case proceeds through the legal system.

“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public,” his attorneys said in a statement. “We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.”

The NFL confirmed it is aware of the situation and has been in communication with the Green Bay Packers, according to reports. Both the league and the team have not issued further public comment.

Jacobs, a former first-round draft pick selected by the Oakland Raiders (now Las Vegas Raiders) in 2019, joined the Packers in 2024. He is entering his third season with the team.

In the most recent season, he rushed for 929 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. He played college football at the University of Alabama before entering the NFL.
