Former TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has appealed to friends and well-wishers to support her family financially following the death of her father, Maribe Mwangi.

In a statement released on Friday night, December 26, 2025, Jacque said burial arrangements are underway and her father will be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his rural home in Gathaithi Village.

She also announced that a memorial service will be held earlier on Sunday, December 28, starting at 10:00 a.m. at Worldwide Gospel Church in Buruburu, along Rabai Road, next to Rubis Petrol Station.

“We humbly request your prayers and financial support so that we may give our Mheshimiwa a befitting send-off. Financial contributions can be sent to Paybill number: 4813691, Account Number: Your Name,” Jacque said in the statement.

Jacque added that burial planning meetings are ongoing at the family home, with additional meetings taking place daily from December 26 at 5:00 p.m., as well as at the family’s rural home in Gathaithi Village.

Maribe Mwangi passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, after a long illness. He is remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, in-law, friend, Mheshimiwa, and patron whose life touched many.

According to the family, Mwangi’s long-term illness had placed a significant financial strain on them, prompting Jacque and her family to appeal for prayers and support to help give him a dignified farewell.
