Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs are eying the signature of highly talented Gor Mahia’s Ugandan left full back Godfrey Walusimbi, Kahawa Tungu can reveal.

The 29-year-old, who can also play as a winger, renewed his stay with K’Ogalo early this year but a clause in his contract allows him to pursue greener pastures with the club’s blessings.

Walusimbi was a no show on Friday in Kisumu as K’Ogalo edged out Posta Rangers 2-1 to open a 14-point gap at the top of the Kenyan Premier League log.

In his absence Innocent Wafula successfully covered the defensive position.
