    Kenya Re Announces Retirement of Two Board Directors

    Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited (Kenya Re) has announced the retirement of two members of its Board of Directors following the company’s Annual General Meeting.

    In a notice issued on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Company Secretary Charles Kariuki said Eunice Nyala and Dr. Zacharia Nyaega retired as directors of the Corporation in accordance with the firm’s Articles of Association.

    Nyala served on the Board for four years, during which she also participated in various board committees. Dr. Nyaega, who served for three years, was the Chairperson of the Human Resource and Nominations Committee.

    Kenya Re said the two directors retired by rotation at the Annual General Meeting held on June 19, 2026.

    “The Board and Management of the Corporation wish to sincerely thank Nyala and Dr. Nyaega for their invaluable contribution, dedication, support and commitment to the Corporation exhibited throughout the course of their tenure as members of the Board,” the notice read.
