Police in Kisumu have began investigations in Kisumu Girls’ High School over the death of a student.
According to reports, the student was found dead under unclear circumstances.
The administration of the institution are yet to release an official statement on the same.
On Friday, the police visited the school to carry out preliminary investigations.
The body of the student has since been moved to Kisumu Hospital mortuary.
This death comes at a time when parents had raised concerns on the students’ safety with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Last month, the TSC resealed a statement assuring parents that the recent mysterious deaths of the students are being taken seriously.
Catherine Lenairoshi stated: “The commission takes with utmost seriousness the safety of learners in schools.”
