Krista Allen, born on April 5, 1971, in Ventura, California, is an American actress, model, and stand-up comedian.

Raised in Houston and later Austin, Texas, Allen’s early life was marked by a diverse cultural heritage, including Portuguese, English, Irish, Scottish, German, Dutch, and Welsh ancestry.

Her parents, Dale and Katherine Allen, divorced when she was young, and she experienced a tumultuous adolescence, including running away from home at fourteen.

Initially aspiring to be a teacher, Allen studied at Austin Community College and the University of Texas, majoring in education.

However, her path shifted toward entertainment after working as a promotional model for the Texas Bikini Team and later moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting.

Beyond her on-screen work, Allen is a certified yoga instructor, a licensed therapist specializing in complex trauma and addiction recovery, and an advocate for neurodivergent communities, drawing from her own experiences with autism and ADHD.

She is also a dedicated vegan, running a blog called “Veggie Boom Boom” to share cruelty-free recipes, and a passionate animal lover involved with rescue organizations.
