Police in Kasarani Sub-County, Nairobi, launched investigations into a suspected murder after the body of a 24-year-old man was discovered in Clay City.

The incident was reported at Kasarani Police Station Tuesday May 6 prompting a police probe.

Police officers who responded to the scene found the body of the deceased, later identified as David Ondiek, with severe visible injuries, including deep cuts to the head and face. Blood was observed around the head area, indicating a violent attack.

The deceased was identified by a relative who stated that Ondiek had been struggling with mental illness.

Scene of Crime officers from Kasarani processed the area before the body was moved to City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted.

Police have opened investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.

And police in Nyamira South Sub-County launched investigations into a brutal murder after a 37-year-old man was found dead outside his house in Nyangena Village, Ikobe Location.

Police visited the scene and discovered the body of the deceased lying outside his residence with multiple deep panga cuts to the face, head, chest, and right hand.

The victim was later identified as Douglas Nyaruri, a local resident who lived alone.

Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) officers from Nyamira County processed and documented the scene. However, no arrests have been made and no weapon was recovered.

The body was moved to Nyamira County Referral Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
