Nairobi governor, Evans Kidero is under police investigations after one of the men who coordinate NYS youths cleaning Kibera accused him of slapping the young man in the slum on Tuesday evening.

According to eye witnesses, Dr Kidero was giving money to youth in Kibera when he recognised Brian Itenya as one of the people believed to be the Jubilee head of campaigns in the sprawling slum. The governor gave some women lining the road money but when he reached where Brian was, he slapped him so hard that even his security wondered what wrong Brian did.

The governor hurriedly left the scene while Brian reported the matter at the Kilimani police station and the incident booked under OB number 38 of 20th June. Police have launched investigations and promised to summon the governor to give his side of the story.
