    Nyeri Deputy Governor To Be Sworn In On Thursday, Gakuru Scheduled To Be Buried On November 18

    NyeriNyeri deputy county governor, Mutahi Kahiga will be sworn in as a governor tomorrow afternoon. This is after the demise of the Nyeri county governor Wahome Gakuru on a road accident in Kabati in Murang’a county.

    The county Legal advisor David Mugo confirmed this on Wednesday.They have also formed three committees that will handle the funeral of the departed governor.

    The Nyeri governor will be buried on November 18. He died in a grisly road accident as he  was traveling to Nairobi for a talk show, he was rushed to Thika level five hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body was later transferred to Lee funeral home in Nairobi. The driver and the his body guard are nursing serious injures.

    This is the second time Nyeri county has lost a governor within this year.
