Lawyer PLO Lumumba’s rural home has been secured by the police after workers claimed they had received death threats from unknown people.
Four police officers have been deployed to the home in Usigu division, Bondo sub-county. Area OCPD, Paul Kiarie spent the day there looking into the source of the alleged threats.
Mr Kiarie confirmed that there were reports of unidentified people who had threatened to damage the lawyer’s property following his utterances during the Supreme Court presidential petition hearing.
NASA supporters are apparently feeling betrayed by Lumumba. He was representing the IEBC chairman, Wafula Chebukati who the opposition supporters feel rigged the election in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

One worker said that stones were thrown into the lawyer’s compound on Monday evening right after he made his submissions. PLO asked the court to dismiss the petition because it did not have merit.
Speaking to the Standard, the worker also said that there was a ploy by agitated youths to set ablaze the lawyer’s property should the SCOK uphold Kenyatta’s win.
