Thirty year-old Calvin Ondieki from Kisii County has already covered 250 kilometers on foot enroute to Nairobi to see President William Ruto.

He left Kisii Monday dawn armed with an unshakeable dream for adventure-running alone.

By Wednesday, he had logged up to 252.3 kilometres.

He would lodge at Mai Mahiu for a night rest before battling the remaining 56 km to Nairobi, he said.

He described the stretch between Narok and Mai Mahiu as the most grueling as he covered a staggering 89 kilometers, an additional of about seven more kilometres from the other stopovers.

He braved harsh weather, exhaustion, and blistered feet as navigated through multiple counties — all driven by a dream to present his ideas to the Head of State.

His motivation, he said, stems from a desire to raise awareness on issues touching development and environment.

A solitary rider escorted him out of a parking lot out of Gusii Stadium, Kisii early Monday.

No official turned up to flag him.

“All this far is God,” he said.

A friend sent him Sh2000 fot food.

Another well-wisher offered him food in Bomet late Monday, his first stop over, he said.

“I haven’t rested save a few minutes of short sleep. I knew I had to take a step — literally,” he stated.

He plans to dock in Kabete Friday the outskirts of the capital and do the last leg Sarturday to see President William Ruto.

It is not yet clear if protocol have cleared him for the planned State House visit.

Ondieki, a UDA party office administrator’s story has already quickly gone viral on social media, with many Kenyans lauding his courage.
