Police visited the location and established that the woman had dust all over her body and visible bruises on her lower lips.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Kiviu was last seen on May 29, 2026, at a miraa base in the Kalundu area of Kitui Township.

The scene was processed by detectives and forensic officers before the body was moved to the Kitui County Referral Hospital mortuary, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Police are treating the case as a suspected murder and have commenced investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding her death and identify those responsible.

And police in Teso North Sub-County are investigating the death of a 68-year-old man who was found dead in a room he had occupied in Malaba town.

The incident was reported to Malaba Police Station on Sunday, May 31, 2026, after the man was discovered unresponsive in his room by the premises management.

The deceased was identified as Mohamed Osman Aska, aged 68 years. Preliminary investigations established that he had checked into the room on May 23, 2026.
