Police in Kiminini Sub-County have arrested eleven suspected members of a criminal gang known as Mbogi Yaadu following a coordinated security operation aimed at restoring law and order in the area.
According to law enforcement officials, the gang has for some time been linked to a series of criminal activities that disrupted the peace of residents in Birunda, Kiungani, and surrounding neighbourhoods. The suspects are accused of terrorising members of the public and creating fear within the community.
During the operation, officers recovered several crude weapons, including bows, arrows, machetes, and knives, believed to have been used by the gang to carry out their activities.
The suspects are currently in police custody undergoing processing and are expected to be arraigned at the Kitale Law Courts.
