The Office of the Attorney General has invited applications for the positions of Chairperson and four members of its Audit Committee.
The recruitment is being conducted pursuant to Section 73(5) of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012, the Public Finance Management (National Government) Regulations, 2015, and the Guidelines for the Establishment of Audit Committees in Public Entities published through Kenya Gazette Notice Vol. CXVIII No. 40 of April 15, 2016.
The Attorney General is seeking to recruit one Chairperson and four members to serve on the committee.
Applicants seeking to serve as Chairperson must be Kenyan citizens and hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
They must have at least seven years’ experience in auditing, financial management or accounting.
Applicants must also be members in good standing of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
They should have knowledge and experience in risk management and demonstrate integrity and compliance with the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
Applicants for the four Audit Committee positions must be Kenyan citizens and hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
They must have at least five years’ work experience in either the public or private sector.
Applicants must also be members of a professional body and be in good standing.
The candidates should have knowledge of public service and government operations and demonstrate integrity.
Interested and qualified applicants are required to submit their applications together with a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, a copy of their national identity card and testimonials.
Applications should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Chairperson of Audit Committee” or “Member of Audit Committee” and addressed to:

Applicants may also hand-deliver their applications to the Office of the Attorney General at CBK Pension Towers, 20th Floor, Harambee Avenue, during working hours.
Online applications can be submitted through hr@ag.go.ke. Applicants using the online option should attach scanned copies of all the required documents.
The deadline for submitting applications is September 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
