A contractor was attacked and killed by a mob after he fatally stabbed a female owner of a building he was constructing in Kimilili, Bungoma County. The body of the woman was found in an incomplete house in Makhonge village after her brutal murder. She was the owner of the house under construction, police said. Gunmen shot and killed two people in an ambush along Nginyang-Marigat road in Baringo County. The deceased included a lorry driver and his passenger, police said. The gunmen also shot and injured an occupant in two different lorries in the April 21 attack. The vehicles were under escort of police when a gang that was waiting struck. Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu won round one on Wednesday after the High Court allowed his request to apply again for bond pending hearing of his appeal. A police officer attached to the presidential escort unit collapsed and died while boarding a car in Karen, Nairobi. Police said Sergeant Daniel Kipruto Kangogo was about to board an official four-wheel drive car when he collapsed and died.
