Sean “Diddy” Combs has been denied bail for the third time by a judge in New York City. At least 24 Kenyans were arrested in connection with a case of online credit card fraud that led to losses worth USD 8.6 million (approximately over Sh1.1 billion.) The mission was part of Interpol’s operation that targeted criminals behind ransomware, online scams and digital extortion across 19 African countries. The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) announced Wednesday it had approved Safaricom PLC to establish Ziidi Money Market Fund, a new investment scheme that seeks to disrupt the market.  In a statement, CMA noted that the MMF will be available on the M-pesa platform hence making it easier for its customers to grow wealth through capital markets. A middle aged man collapsed at a guest house he had checked into in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area.  The incident happened on Tuesday November 26 at the Premier guest house located at second avenue within Eastleigh. The victim collapsed at the door step and died. He had blood oozing from his mouth as he was picked to hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival by medics. A medical intern at Thika Level Five Hospital who died by suicide was battling depression. Friends and relatives of Francis Njuki Gashimo revealed that the deceased had been battling depression and had been receiving treatment at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital Dr Gashimo died by suicide in his rented house in Kiganjo Estate, Thika, Kiambu County. A driver who was reversing crushed and killed his conductor in an accident at the Gikomba bus stop in Nairobi. The incident happened on November 25 as the driver reversed his matatu along Kware Road near Kirima House, police said. The crew was getting ready to pick up passengers when the accident happened. Police have joined the probe into an incident where a top Nairobi lawyer Dr. Wilfred Mutubwa collapsed and died in his office in Nairobi. Dr Mutubwa collapsed in his Nairobi office at the Mayfair Centre on Tuesday November 26 afternoon after complaining of pain. The cause of the death is yet to be known, his family and friends said.
